Remember last summer when I praised Abercrombie and Abercrombie summer dresses? It worked out so well last summer that I knew I had to try a few on again this summer! Here are the ones I ordered and what I thought.

Abercrombie Knot-Front Dress, Light Yellow, SP

So this dress was cute and the material was comfortable (though yes, wrinkled here). However, it was just a little too short. I would have preferred an extra inch or two added to the bottom. I debated keeping it and letting out the hem, but it’s still in stock on the site, so I may just exchange it. Also, this top was a little tight, but I was wearing it with a bra. I probably could have gone without a bra and it would have been fine.

Verdict: Return….but maybe exchange for a different size?

Abercrombie Knot-Front Dress, White Stripe, XSP

Okay, so I bought this knot front dress in a smaller size than the yellow one for two reasons. First, I wasn’t sure which size would fit. Second, this was the only size it was still available in. The length was only slightly shorter than the yellow dress. However, the chest was SO TIGHT. It was so small that if you look closely, you can see that it’s not a true knotted front. It’s a knotted piece of fabric over a piece of fabric going all of the way across. I might try for a bigger size if it ever comes back in stock.

Verdict: Return.

Abercrombie Knot-Front Tee Dress, Olive Green, XS

The material on this Abercrombie summer dress was super interesting because it’s actually not made out of basic cotton like I originally thought. It’s actually made out of viscose and polyester blend, giving it a slinkier feel. It’s really comfortable though and I love the fun detail that the knot gives it. I just can’t decide if i like the sizing of the XS or if I want to go up a size. The length is pretty spot on though and the small slit on the right helps the dress from constricting your movement.

Verdict: Maybe keep?

Abercrombie Knot-Front Dress, Pink Stripe, S

Oh lordy this dress. Let’s just start with the obvious: it’s too big. I ordered the small figuring the fit would be fine, but I was swimming in this upper half of this dress! It’s supposed to be the short sleeved version of the yellow one, but it’s so big that you can’t even tell that. I had also ordered the navy dots version, but I didn’t even bother to try that one on. If I were to try a different color/size combination, I wouldn’t even be sure where to go. Maybe down to an XS from there?

Verdict: Return!

Abercrombie Button-Front Mini Skirt, Light Green Stripe, XS

I really need to calm down with the skirts right now. I don’t know what it is, but as soon as summer hits, I’m all about fun, lightweight skirts. This one was perfect. The material is light weight, the fit is spot on, and I love the light green color. I haven’t really worn light green on bottom as much, so this will be fun to play with. I also love the button detailing!

Abercrombie Button-Front Mini Skirt, Light Pink, XS

This is the same skirt as above, but in pink, so all of the fit information still applies. I’m normally okay with keeping something I love in multiple colors. However, in this case, I don’t love the pink as much. It’s cute, but I’m not as drawn to it as I was the green. Also, I want to know that the green is green stripes, while the pink is just solid pink. I think having it as a solid color just made it feel a little more drab than I would have wanted it to be.

Verdict: Return

There you have it! Another successful shopping review but sadly very few Abercrombie summer dresses to keep. Now I just need to get a printer up and running so I can actually go make these returns. Also, have I finally convinced you to start shopping at Abercrombie again?
