Shopping Reviews 105: Quince Summer Clothing

Note: Today’s post contains affiliate links about Quince Summer Clothing. Thank you to Quince for providing the clothing for review and as always, all reviews and opinions are my own.

As part of my postpartum shopping, I’ve been trying to buy pieces that aren’t super expensive, but still cute. While Old Navy is usually my default, I’ve gotten a little sick of some of their options. I still love their activewear, but their dresses haven’t really been doing it for me. I decided it was time to look somewhere else and Quince seemed like the perfect option. I reviewed Quince’s activewear last year and I really liked their pieces, but I hadn’t tried their regular clothing yet.

I want to let you know though that while Quince agreed to partner with me on this post, I picked out the pieces that they sent me and this post is not sponsored. As always with these reviews, I plan on sharing my honest opinions about each piece of clothing.

Quince Organic Cotton Gauze Tiered Maxi Dress – S, Nantucket Blue

This dress has been all over my Instagram and Facebook ads, so it was the first thing that I knew I wanted to try on. I’m in love with this dress. As a short girl, it can be really hard to find maxi dresses. This one is the perfect length for petite girls. It’s also so light and airy, I’ve already worn it in this heat wave (and it made life a lot better). My only complaint is that the dress is a little low cut, but it’s still manageable. I actually love this dress so much that I‘m going to get it in at least one (maybe two) more colors.

Verdict: Keep

Quince European Linen Pants, S, Navy

Pants are really hard for me right now. I didn’t realize beforehand that this was a thing, but apparently the c-section recovery pouch is real. And really hard to get rid of. Because of it, all pants fit me really funny right now. They kind of fit me right now, but I think if I went one size bigger, these pants would fit me perfectly. In terms of material, I really like this linen. It feels high quality and like it’ll hold up well in the heat.

Verdict: Keep – I’m thinking positive right now in terms of my weight loss, so I’m going to hold on to this pair.

(P.S. I love the top that I’m wearing with these pants and I plan to review it soon)

Quince European Linen Tapered Ankle Pants, S, Oatmeal / Black Stripe

Oy vey. Nope Nope nope. These pants are too small, but my problem with them is how the pockets are cut. I don’t know why the pockets are cut this way, but the cut really highlights any extra weight that you’re carrying in your mid-section. With how light the material is, I’m not surprised that they’re a little see-through, but the pockets definitely just emphasize it more. Also, the fabric felt a little different from the other linen pants.

Verdict: This pair is a no go for me. I think I would want this color in the non-tapered ankle pair.

Quince Washable Stretch Silk Tank, S, Ivory

I’ve never tried stretch silk, but I’m really impressed with this material. It was more comfortable than some other silk pieces I’ve tried in the past and I really want this material in skirt form. I also like how versatile this tank is. It would work for the office, but I’d also be happy wearing it on the weekend with shorts. The only con I have for this shirt is that it’s a little tight in the chest and would be a little cropped if you’re tall. But for petite girls, it’s perfect.

Verdict: Keeping it!
