Okay, so I know if you look at my budget, yes, I technically bought one dress. But I actually bought that dress solidly in June, and expected to get it in June. Sadly, there was some shipping delays and the dress didn’t arrive until well into July. BUT thanks to some J.Crew rewards, it was free!

This was the month that I also got back onto Poshmark. I mentioned last month that I found a way to do a cleaning sweep of my closet and I ended up posting a handful of things to Poshmark. My boyfriend also had one or two things for me to post, so if you need anything for your man, check out my closet too!

Overall though, I’m pretty happy to finally see a month with no spending (and earnings)! Especially during a month when I wasn’t trying. Part of it probably has to do with the fact that I’ve accepted that I’m really not going anywhere for a while, so I know that I don’t really need to expand my work wardrobe. On top of that, if I want to buy anything, I know exactly where I would be wearing it or what holes in my wardrobe I want to fill.

Finally, I know that my biggest shopping kryptonite was shoes….but really, I only need shoes I’m going to wear around my house right now. Or shoes to walk to the grocery store I guess. I think I’ve actually substituted buying shoes for buying earrings right now. It’s definitely not what I expected, but I love it.

Now, I’m not going to lead you on and say I’m never going clothing shopping again. I’m a style blogger who loves shopping. I’ve also already ordered some things that will go into my budget for next month. But they all fall under the criteria I just laid out above. Lounging clothes for around the house and tops that look good on camera! We’ll just have to wait and see what I actually keep!
