Do Something Good
I think this is good political news that everyone can get behind. on Wednesday, a 9/11 Victim Fund Bill was unanimously approved after Jon Stewart’s passionate speech about the terrible treatment the 9/11 first responders have received.
The 9/11 Victim Fund Bill will now permanently authorize the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund. The funding was set to expire next year, but Congress has been taking it’s sweet sweet time on actually permanently authorizing the bill. However thanks to Stewart, the bill was unanimously passed by the Judiciary Committee. It’ll now go on to the House where it will be voted on (and will most likely pass).
