My brain is totally dead right now. I got back from Toronto the other night and I just had no idea what to write about for this post. I could have talked about fall business casual outfits (because this is a pretty good example), but I did that pretty recently. Or I could have written about my Toronto trip, but I needed more than 5 minutes!
Then I realized something pretty important. It’s time for me to start planning holiday content! Well, it was actually time for me to start planning holiday content about three weeks ago. But whatever.

So let’s talk about planning holiday content
What does holiday content look like on Something Good?
Well, I’m here to help you (obviously), but I’m still going to stay along the lines of regular content here. So for holiday content I focus on four major areas: holiday outfits, buying gifts (specifically gifts that give back), saving money during the holidays, sales, and books (/travel reads).
Last Year’s 5 Days to Holiday Savings Challenge
Last year I hosted a 5 Days to Holiday Savings email challenge. It went….okay. You can read it’s description here, but basically for a week I sent out a daily email explaining a tool that someone could use to save during the holidays. It kicked off during the first week of November so everyone would have plenty of time to buy and save. I can’t decide if I would want to do it again this year though. Would you guys be interested in it? Would you like the idea of an email challenge or would you prefer the posts on the blog as a blog series?
Gift Guides
The dreaded gift guides. I feel like every blogger and their mom does a gift guide, so I typically don’t. I typically just do my Gifts that Give Back series. There were a few very specific gift guides that were requested last year though, so I happily obliged. Would you guys like specific gift guides again this year? I could also link to other bloggers’ excellent gift guides (I love the ones that Anne does).
Tell me more, tell me more
Insert me singing Grease lyrics here. Seriously though! I want to hear from you! Tell me what outfits you want to see, things you want to know about saving, gift guides, books to read when traveling, anything! I want to put together holiday content that YOU want to see, so please let me know. I’m excited to start planning holiday content for you
