Another quarter when I ended over….but not that much over, which is actually pretty nice. This month was interesting because after my August ban/minimal shopping, I went a little crazy in September with trying stuff on. But, as my building’s receptionist can tell you, I also went a little crazy with the returning things. I just don’t have time and don’t enjoy going to stores, what can I say?
To explain the “not included in the budget” section, I figured I should explain that since it’s new. I have chosen to not include outerwear and active wear items into my budget. I think of these items as more of “need” items and less of “want” items. The debatable item in here is the J.Crew Factory Vest. Now, before moving to DC, I didn’t understand the point of a vest-don’t your arms get cold? But after living here for two years, I actually kind of get it.
I’m also going to try to include any gifted items in this section.
Now it’s on to the final quarter! I can’t believe that I’m almost done with this quarter budget. Since we’re going into the colder months, I’m looking to see what’s on my “want” list. I’ve turned my attention to LL Bean lately, since I want to replace my cable knit sweaters that I finally donated (I’ve had them since high school and you could tell). Luckily, I picked up my bean boots last year, so that’s already set. Finally, I’m hoping that since I picked up some “Holiday” pieces last year that still fit, I won’t have much that I want to get this year. We’ll see!
What did you buy this month?
