About one year ago I moved into a new apartment and started a new job. Even though I had basically done the same exact thing almost a year ago, this time it felt like a fresh start.
This was my first time living on my own and I was over the moon about getting to decorate my way and do things how I’ve wanted.
In the past year or so, that’s worked out pretty well, but I have realized one important thing. My “dining room” table doesn’t cut it as a desk. In my previous apartment, this wasn’t as big of a deal, the blog was not as time consuming and I never worked from home with my full time job.
However, both of these things have pretty dramatically changed. With the (not so new anymore) job, one of the perks is that I can work from home if needed and the blog has become a lot more time consuming. While I love relaxing on my couch to get some work done, I know I focus best for a longer amount of time if I’m at a desk.
With that in mind, I decided to do a little rearranging in my apartment and carve out a little corner of my apartment for an “office space.” This is still a work in progress (I need to find a new chair and stop stealing my dining room chair), but I love how it’s coming together so far!
Do you have any tips or tricks for getting work done at home? Is anything missing from my office space? Oh and does anyone have a suggestion for where I can find an inexpensive shredder?
