Sometimes, you need to listen to your body. These past few weeks have been go go go for me lately (as exampled by my “sample day“). With that constant moving, I’ve also been making a few transitions in life, which have only been adding to the hectic. I’ve been handling it and I love the direction life is going right now, but when I woke up Saturday morning, my body was just done. Instead of going to yoga or pure barre like I normally would at 8am, I decided to go back to sleep and ended up sleeping until noon. For those who know me, sleeping until noon isn’t really something that happens, well, ever. I’m more of a get up early and #GSD kind of person. Sleeping until noon felt like I wasted the day, but at the same time, it felt absolutely amazing.
Once I finally woke up and felt better, the boy and I decided to embark on a little adventure to Union Market. There we walked around a little, grabbed something to eat, and explored the pop up shops.
Just wandering the market was just what I needed to really feel refreshed and I’m ready to conquer work again.
Little daily adventures like that are just what I need to keep going when things get overwhelming. And these sandals? PERFECT for that! Like my Rockport flats, these have padded insoles, so wearing them is literally like walking on mini clouds.
Yes, I was given these to sample, but dear god, I’m in love with these sandals. I think I need to get a pair of heels from Rockport asap.
