Guys, I have a confession: because of my Wisconsin blood, I’m normally looking to shed my tights as soon as the temperature goes above 50. It’s not that I need to, but I always feel like I HAVE too otherwise I’m letting my home state down (I know, seriously issues). The downside to this issue? When it goes below 65 in DC in the summer, that’s normally accompanied by wind and or rain. And I’m sorry, but as stubborn as I am, I still don’t want my bare legs to deal with wind. Now, I’m sure all of you are shaking your heads at this point and going, “Geez, just put pants on” and normally, that is my solution.

But.

Once summer hits? I just want dresses and skirts all. the. time.

The new solution? Hanes L’eggs tights! I was hesitant about trying these out when Hanes first approached me, but then the temperature in DC went to the low 50s and raining last week. What a way to celebrate the first week of June, right? 

It luckily gave me and Diana a chance to take these tights out for a spin and, well, I’m converted. I may have to bring tights (specifically these tights) back into my wardrobe.

Why?

1. You can’t tell I’m wearing them! If you haven’t caught on at this point both myself and Diana are wearing the tights (in nude colors) in all of the pictures above and you can’t even tell! In fact, when Monica came to take our pictures, she asked me if I had put them on yet.

2. They give a little bit of a tan to my otherwise super pale legs, but it’s not that extreme (see #1).

3. Massaging Technology. Is that a thing? I might have made the phrase up, but either way, these tights have it. When I saw the word massage in the description, I was immediately intrigued (I love love love getting a massage). Because of the silky sheer stretch knit fabric and the fit, the fabric really feels like it’s massaging your legs a little bit all day. That also might have been the weirdest description I’ve ever given to a pair of tights.

4. Tear resistant. Did you know that was a thing in tights? I didn’t either, but anything to keep my tights intact a little longer sounds good to me.

I seriously never thought I’d be raving about a pair of tights…but….these were brag worthy. 

Don’t believe me? Well after wearing them for the shoot, Diana immediately wore a pair to work the next day and messaged me immediately to talk about how much she still liked them.
