Happy Memorial Day! If I’ve done my job right this weekend, then I should be relaxing by the pool when you read this (and shop online). If I didn’t….well then I hope I’m asleep on my couch.

How has your MDW been so far? I accidentally scheduled myself to be at my part time job all weekend (I thought MDW was next weekend, whoops), so instead of being in the pretty outdoors, I was behind a desk most of the time.

This could have been bad, but I took the opportunity to take some serious GSD time. I got all of my posts done for this upcoming week, cleared out my inbox, and did some planning.

By Sunday night, I actually felt accomplished. Well, also exhausted, but accomplished. Yes, I did miss out on some fun goings on this weekend, but I now have all of Monday off, PLUS Tuesday off since I decided to use my comp day. It’s a little unorthodox, but I’ll still get my relaxing days off.

Now, about the clothes. This dress from The Mint Julep Boutique reminded me how wonderful the girls who run that shop are. There were some bumps in the road to getting this post up, but these girls were lifesavers throughout the entire process. they’ve been wonderful to work with and I can only encourage you to go check out all of the other pieces that they have to offer. I wanted something light and flowly (and floral!) that I could dress up when needed. This dress was the perfect answer to that  and I could see myself dressing it down with flats and a chambray (the answer to everything).

But Ally was right! The lower heel makes these shoes much more comfortable and some how the skinny front strap isn’t painful. I loved these shoes so much, I got them in black too!
