Make Up Break Up by Lily Menon

It’s the first adult romance from Sandhya Menon! You might remember her from one of my favorite YA romances, When Dimple Met Rishi. She’s now here under the pen name Lily Menon to start her career in adult rom coms and I could not be more excited.
Make Up Break Up tells the story of Annika Dev, an app developer who is determined to make her app succeed, even if her budget is quickly running out. It doesn’t help that her recent fling from last year’s tech conference in Vegas is now the darling of the app world.
I loved everything about this book. From the characters to the story, every moment of this book was excellent. Menon has the ability to write a plot that’s unpredictable, but flows so smoothly. Like all of her books, the characters are so lovable that you can’t stop rooting for them, even while you’re cringing at what they’re doing.
Make Up Break Up doesn’t come out until February, but add it to your to reads list now!

I live only a few blocks from the Capitol, so this past week has been hard, to say the least. I was glued to the news on Wednesday and felt like a zombie on Thursday. What happened was disgusting and painful to see, but sadly not surprising. One thing that has helped me a little bit has been to follow Emily – 1 Minute Politics on instagram. She posts incredibly insightful political analysis and explains what’s going on so a normal person can understand it. She’s also incredibly good at answering questions. I’ll be following her updates over over these next few weeks which feel incredibly unpredictable.
